Forts

Everyone needs a bit of a getaway from time to time. Now is a great opportunity to embrace our inner engineer by building a mini-mansion of our own!

Step 1: Gather Supplies!

Go around the house and look for building materials (sheets, blankets, clips, scarves, chairs, cushions, tablecloths, sleeping bags, umbrellas, string etc.)

Step 2: Separate into heavy and light materials.

Follow the basic design principal of heavy on the bottom, light on the top.

Step 3: Start building.

Forts can be built anywhere, but it often helps to use larger pieces of furniture as your anchor. For example, a sheet over a table or tucked into a couch is a great start.

Step 4: Move In!

Once you’re done building, it’s time to get cozy by making it your own. Maybe your fort needs a comfy cushion and books, or some stuffed animal roommates to hang out with!
